Your server is hardened and your code carefully crafted. Even still, you need to plan for all contingencies. Having the ability to rebuild and recover your Web apps from backup at any time is crucial. Of course, there are server level backups with your cloud host provider, and these should be used. However, these are an all or nothing solutions. What happens when you are running several web applications on the same server? Rebuilding an entire server because of a problem with one application could prove a costly option for your business.

Backup Web Applications with Ease
1.First of all, login to RunCloud Dashboard. If you don’t have an account already, click here to register.
To be clear, this is only for backing up your web applications and databases deployed using the RunCloud dashboard panel.
Therefore, web applications that may exist on your server that were not deployed using RunCloud are not able to be backed up with this solution.
2.To create a Backup: Go to Backup->Web Application/Database and select the web application and databases that you want to backup.
Remember, to be able to recover your web application from backup, you need to backup both the web application and its associated database.
3.Select your preferred time to backup and backup retention.
Furthermore, there are settings for you to choose to receive notification of the status of your backup either by Slack, Telegram or email.
4.Choose your backup type, a Full Backup or a Custom Backup. DONE!
A Full Backup will backup the whole web application folder. While, a Custom Backup allows you to choose which files and folders that you want to include in the backup process.
Finally, click on “Create” and you’re done.
Restore your backups with ease
To restore from a Backup, go to the Backup Archive menu and find your web application. Then click Restore!
