Ben Edmunds is one of those that I call legends. He is really active in the PHP community, going around talking at conferences and also the steering community and security board for the Codeigniter PHP framewoek. Some may know him from the Ion Auth library that he created and still maintain to this day.
But programming wise he has moved on to Laravel and also NodeJS. Ben is really into web application security and even wrote a book… wait, two books on the subject. One for, and the other for NodeJS.
Other times, you can listen to Ben and another PHP programmer friend, Phil Sturgeon (another legend) talk, rant and discusses about programming and the life of programmer on their podcast, the PHP Town Hall.
So we talked about work, programming, his programming companion, early education and other stuffs.
Enjoy the video.
